Education and Studies

Maria Tatsos was born in Como, Italy, from a Greek family coming from Macedonia, northern Greece. After High School in Como, she gratuated in Political Sciences in the University Statale of Milan as a specialist in Asian History.

In the meantime, she graduated also in Japanese Culture and Language in IsMeo (Istituto per il Medio ed Estremo Oriente, now Isiao), Milano. She had also a fellowship for a research on Japanese Buddhist Statues in Guimet Museum, Paris.
